VICTORIA, BC – Whisky lovers rejoice! Just in time for Christmas, Macaloney’s Island Distillery is thrilled to announce that its Na Braiche Whisky is now available in select BC Liquor Stores, making it more accessible to whisky enthusiasts across the province.
Na Braiche can now be purchased at BC Liquor Stores for $84.99. A reasonable price for the high-quality single malt whisky matured from spirit that received the gold medal for “Best in Canada” at the prestigious 2019 World Whisky Awards.
Traditionally distilled on Vancouver Island using Scottish methods and pot stills, this single malt was matured in Portuguese red wine barriques. Na Braiche Whisky, crafted with meticulous attention to detail at Macaloney’s Island Distillery, has gained a reputation for its exceptional quality and unique flavour profile. Jim Murray’s 2020 Whisky Bible scored this oak-matured expression 93 points saying it “not only ticks all the boxes in terms of desirability but adds a few extra’s on for good measure.”
The decision to make it available in select liquor stores marks a significant milestone for the distillery and allows a broader audience to savour the exceptional quality of Macaloney’s Island Distillery’s whisky.
Macaloney’s Island Distillery will also be taking part at Whisky Global 2024 in Vancouver on January 26 & 27, 2024. Whisky Global 2024 is Canada’s whisky festival bringing those together to sip, taste and learn about fine whisky. If you’re attending, make sure to check out Macaloney’s award-winning whiskies!

About Macaloney’s Island Distillery:
Guided by his love for Uisge Beatha, the water of life, Graeme Macaloney, the expat Scot founder and whisky maker at Macaloney’s Island Distillery, set out to create the finest single malt whisky in North America and perhaps the world. Driven by quality he focused his efforts on bringing together the industry’s best Scottish distillers, ingredients (great Canadian barley, select American & European oak, and island air!) and the best equipment (from the famed Forsyth’s copperworks, Speyside, Scotland).
Thanks to these high-quality ingredients, world-class facilities, and deep expert knowledge base, Macaloney and his team were able to produce exceptional single malt whiskies using exclusively traditional techniques. They then expanded their range, and now produce more than a dozen different drams for whisky lovers of all whisky and whiskey styles.
