Job Posting: Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Location: Flexible: remote and/or in person
Start Date: October 2022 Time Commitment: Full Time @ 32 hours a week
Note Town Hall Brands operates on a 4-day work week; Monday to Thursday, office hours 9am – 5pm
Compensation: Depending on experience, training wage of $21-23 per hour for first three months; Wage increases to $28-30/hr following the three-month training/probationary period. Medical and dental benefits are offered once the three‐month training/probationary period has passed. Wage review again after one year from start date.

We create or decorate brands and then get other people to talk about them - through press coverage, influencer marketing, impactful social content and more.
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will primarily assist the public relations team. The role will include aspects of marketing, communications, media relations, social media and other administrative tasks. Work in this agency is fast-paced, dynamic and independent. An attention to detail and the ability to think outside of the box are important factors for success in the role.
About You
You are self-motivated and want to be busy as you hate being idle. People say you are smart, quick on your feet, and open minded. You are digitally savvy and possess solid computer skills, and you also hold a strong ability to communicate via phone, web, and in-person. Your grammar is excellent, and you hate typos. You understand discretion and know how to uphold confidentiality. You work hard and play hard too as there is life outside the amazing work you do for clients.
Role Responsibilities
As the marketing and PR coordinator, you assist the team and provide the support to their projects. Your role includes any of the following responsibilities:
Administrative:
· Work on database to ensure accuracy of client and contact positions, adding new industry contacts, recording career movements
· Participate in team and client meetings and work offsite at events as required
· Any other duties as assigned
Media Relations
· Identify key messages and news values
· Help to draft and/or proof any communications, press releases, proposal documentation, budget creation as needed
· Liaising with hospitality and wine trade
· Media research; creating media contact lists; database management
· Design & distribution of digital newsletters and press releases in Constant Contact and MailChimp
· Manage client sample inventory
Digital Media
· Assist with the creation and implementation of content for client’s social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Trip Advisor etc).
· Draft blog posts and other written content as needed and post to client’s web pages
· Coordination of paid digital ads
Event Support
· Management of targeted invitation lists using database and knowledge of industry professionals, ongoing /tracking follow up/outreach to ensure clients’ KPI's are met
Other positions, duties and responsibilities may be assigned to you from time to time.
Skill requirements
· Knowledge of digital and social media marketing
· Has a critical eye and strong attention to detail
· Basic understanding of public relations and media landscape
· Knowledge of how to use a social media scheduler (IE Buffer, Co-Schedule, Sprout Social etc)
· Ability to write copy in short and long form
· Strong project management or organizational skills
· Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format
· Good technical understanding and can learn new platforms/software quickly
· Basic understanding of web and social media analytics, and reporting tools (Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
· Basic understanding of Google AdWords and Facebook Ads/Business Manager
· Ability to lift boxes and materials up to 35lbs.
